An invitation… i invite

Hey I’m pretty stoked to post the first photo of ‘i invite’. This is an interactive series of street art works, inviting other artists and the public to get involved. The work is never complete, it keeps evolving as it grows. Inspired by the work of MOMO & Melissa Brown (NY), the Wooster collective, and my fascination with the ultimate, Keith Haring. Artist statement here: (coming soon).

i invite - the work is working!

apex of absurdity

From Hipster: The Dead End of Western Civilization

This obsession with “street-cred” reaches its apex of absurdity as hipsters have recently and wholeheartedly adopted the fixed-gear bike as the only acceptable form of transportation – only to have brakes installed on a piece of machinery that is defined by its lack thereof.

Campbells Screen Prints

This is two prints i have run off from a stencil i cut many moons ago. Originally cut for spraypaint, these prints were made with acrylic ink on blank newsprint.

“Mr Henson said”…

“The greatness of art comes from the ambiguities, which is another way of saying it stops us from knowing what to think,” Mr Bill Henson said.

from private parking to rothko
Jongeleen: information blackout, 2004 “[the activistic potential of painting, or from private parking to rothko] ”

This is how I would like to view the world!

Paper Fantasy

PAPER FANTASY is a wicked exhibition / space with its walls and everything ceated out of cardboard!

The wall made by cardboard boxes has two kinds of surface, a honeycombed one and serrated one. These surfaces look like the enlargement of a cardboard-box edge, or, to the eyes of some people, fractal patterns.
